A Springfield woman will spend at least the next six years in prison as a result of a crash earlier this year that killed a motorcyclist and injured his passenger.
47-year-old Doris Fisher was sentenced Wednesday to a thirteen-year prison term after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including aggravated DUI, stemming from the May 6th crash that killed 29-year-old Justin Heath. Heath’s girlfriend, 23-year-old Samantha Hardy, was also injured in that crash.
Fisher must serve at least half of her sentence, which was the maximum allowed under the law, with credit for time served before sentencing.
