Another Central Illinois nursing home has closed its doors with little notice to patients and staff.
WAND-TV reports the Lincoln Manor Nursing Home in Decatur has announced that it will close its doors at the end of the week due to “financial issues” and has given its sixty-five residents forty-eight hours to find new facilities. Staff members tell the television station that they are not sure if they will be paid their final wages.
Lincoln Manor was fined $50,000 earlier this year for failing to provide appropriate care to a resident’s abdominal wound.
That resident died from septic shock.
