This week’s deadly terror attack on a pop concert in the United Kingdom is weighing on the minds of staff at the Prairie Capital Convention Center.
Manager Brian Oaks tells WMAY’s Ray Lytle that the security of audiences is his top priority.
Oaks says with events like Tuesday night’s Boston concert, security checks the building and also a limited area outside the building, including parking areas.
But he says it’s not possible to secure every part of the building’s exterior. He says convention center staff relies on law enforcement to watch out for… and even anticipate… problems and take action as needed.
