Hackers may have seen some of your information in the state elections database, but they failed in their attempts to change any of it.
That’s the assessment of State Board of Elections officials, as they detail the intrusion that exposed partial info on thousands of voter records.
Officials say the hackers may have seen addresses, birthdates, and the last four digits of social security numbers.
But there is no evidence that anyone’s identity was stolen.
Officials say the hack appears to have been a random fishing expedition… but it could have been a dry run for a planned larger cyberattack.
