Lawmaker Proposes Drug Testing For Legislative Candidates

He’s already proposed mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients… now a state lawmaker says the same standard should apply to people running for the legislature. 

 

Republican Representative Bill Mitchell has introduced a bill that would require legislative candidates to pass a drug test when they file paperwork to run for the office. 

 

Mitchell tells WAND-TV that he doesn’t expect the bill to make it out of committee.
