Days after being placed on paid leave following an unspecified allegation against him, the police chief for Buffalo and Mechanicsburg has retired.
Village officials still have not disclosed the nature of the complaint that was filed against Chief William Hill that prompted them to place him on leave January 1.
A police advisory board for the two villages accepted Hill’s retirement, effective today.
The only other full-time officer for the villages, Sergeant Bryon Honea will continue to serve as acting chief.
