  9:00AM 6:00PM The Great Pumpkin Patch   The Great Pumpkin Patch is proud to invite guests to see over 300 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds from over 30 countries around the world; all grown here on our farm. Numerous premier displays, over 5,000 hardy mums, various mazes and gardens grace the grounds. There's a diversity, of plants and animals- with several goats, pigs, exotic chickens, rabbits, a llama and an alpaca. There are several places to eat and drink on the farm and lots of entertainment on the weekends. Named Illinois Agritourism Business of the Year in 2009, The Great Pumpkin Patch is much more than an ordinary pumpkin patch. It is a safe, family-fun atmosphere where learning can take place. Located in the heart of Amish country, 2 miles south and 1/2 mile west of Arthur, they are open from Sept. 15 through Oct. 31 every day, seven days a week, from 9 am to 6 pm. Admission is charged.

Lawrence and Lee chose the Scopes ‘”Monkey Trial” to explore the clash between fundamentalists and intellectuals, to make the point that man has the right to think.   7:00PM 10:00PM Terror on the Square   Ranked a top 10 haunt in Illinois for 2012 on hauntedillinois.com! This terrifying haunted house with mystifying illusions and ghostly holograms is set in a 1930s funeral home on the square in Petersburg. Back this year is a mystifying illusion show in an old theater before or after the tour. Open Oct 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 31. West side of the square in Petersburg.
 
  6:00AM 11:59PM Little Flower School Online and Live Auction   Little Flower School in Springfield is holding an online auction starting October 5, 2013 and ending October 11, 2013. Anyone can bid on the over 100 items available. Items range from tickets to trips to handmade items. There's something for everyone! Become bewitched and beguiled as The Amazing Acro-Cats jump through scary skeleton wreaths, roll pumpkins, leap over tombstones and more delightfully daring feats of agility! Samantha Martin, Master of Scare monies of this troupe of Fiendishly Frightful Felines, fully disproves the notion that “cats can’t be trained.” The majority of The Amazing Acro-Cats were adopted from shelters. Keeping with that tradition, Master Trainer Samantha Martinhas fostered over 120 shelter kittens and trains them not only to perform tricks, but important emergency situation maneuvers. These foster kittens have become a heartwarmingpart of the performance as they eagerly wait for their new fur-ever home!Forever Home Feline Ranch will be holding an Adoption Event in the lobby at each of our performances.
