SIU Med School Sets Black History Month Activities |

Black History Month will be celebrated with seven programs in February at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. All events are open to the public.
Wednesday, February 20, noon – 1 p.m. – Ethnic Heritage Day celebrating African-American culture with a presentation “The March on Washington” by Dr. Wesley Robinson-McNeese. McNeese is executive assistant to the dean for diversity, multicultural and minority affairs at SIU. There also will be samples of African-American foods and a display of artifacts in SIU’s Pearson Museum (second floor), 801 N. Rutledge St.
