Supreme Court Rejects Blagojevich’s Latest Appeal

The U.S. Supreme Court has once again rejected an appeal by former governor Rod Blagojevich in his latest attempt to have his corruption conviction overturned or his sentence reduced.

Blagojevich’s lawyers had argued that the law is unclear about where the line is drawn between legal political horse-trading and unlawful political fundraising.

The justices did not comment as they turned down his appeal, just as they did in 2016. Blagojevich is slated to remain behind bars until 2024.
