Former Governor Blagojevich Maintains His Innocence

A now-gray-haired Rod Blagojevich is still maintaining his innocence and pinning his hopes on a longshot appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn his corruption conviction.

The former Illinois governor is giving his first interviews since reporting to federal prison five years ago.

He talks about life behind prison bars including his work mopping floors for $8 a month and the sometimes harrowing encounters with other felons behind bars.

Blagojevich says he regrets the toll that his conviction has taken on his family, but still, insists he did nothing wrong.

He is due to be in prison until the year 2024.
