After his controversial comments went viral… and drew a harsh reaction around the country… U.S. Senator Mark Kirk is apologizing to his Democratic opponent, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth.
In a U.S. Senate debate heard live on News/Talk 94.7 and 970 WMAY, Kirk appeared to question the military service of Duckworth’s family and attack her Asian heritage.
Kirk has now posted on Twitter, quote, “Sincere apologies to an American hero, Tammy Duckworth, and gratitude for her family’s service.”
